A survey revealed the overwhelming advantage of Edmundo González over Nicolás Maduro in the face of the presidential elections

Venezuelan presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia, of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) party, is gaining overwhelming support ahead of the July 28 elections in Venezuela, according to a recent survey conducted by the Venezuelan pollster Meganalisis. The study revealed that 32.4% of respondents would vote for González Urrutia, while only 11.2% indicated support for incumbent President Nicolás Maduro.

The survey also highlighted opposition leader María Corina Machado as the most credible and reliable politician in Venezuela, with 75.9% of respondents trusting and believing in her, compared to only 6.1% for Maduro. Additionally, 75.4% said they would vote for Machado in the elections, showing strong public support for the opposition leader.

With a significant percentage of respondents indicating that they did not know González Urrutia, there is room for the PUD candidate to further increase his popularity in the coming months leading up to the elections.

Meanwhile, Machado continues to tour the country, gathering massive crowds in support of anti-Chavismo and the push for change in Venezuela. Despite being formally left out of the presidential race, Machado’s message resonates with many as she travels to various cities to rally support for the opposition cause.

González Urrutia also remains committed to the fight for a democratic Venezuela, addressing the challenges facing the country and emphasizing the need for a transition to restore freedom, democracy, and economic growth. With the support of Machado and other opposition leaders, the PUD candidate is determined to bring about positive change in Venezuela for the benefit of all citizens.
