A total of 20,839 members of the 2024 Election voting organizing group (KPPS) were inaugurated at GOR Mustika, Blora Regency, Central Java, Thursday (25/1/2024).

Chairman of the Blora Regency KPU Widi Nurintan Ari Kurnianto explained that after being inaugurated they could immediately take technical guidance (bimtek) in their respective regions.

“Technical guidance can be implemented starting today, Thursday (25/1/2024) to Saturday (28/1/2024). In the technical guidance, it is targeted that all KPPS members must be able and follow it carefully. “So everything has to be done, and I will monitor this directly,” he stressed.

For your information, since morning, wearing white tops and black bottoms, tens of thousands of members of the 2024 Election KPPS in Blora Regency arrived and attended the Mustika Blora GOR. They listened to the reading of the names submitted by the Blora KPU as stated in the decision letter.

On that occasion, the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari, in a speech read by the Chairman of the PPK, Blora Nyunartono, said that the KPPS’s role as Election Organizer is very important, as regulated in Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections.

“One of the tasks of the KPPS is to carry out voting and counting of votes at polling stations (TPS),” said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy’ari.

He said, today, Thursday, January 25 2024, the KPPS was inaugurated as many as 5,741,127 people for 820,161 TPS. The KPPS inauguration locations are spread across 71,000 points.

The KPU views the importance of planting tree seedlings as a form of concern for environmental sustainability.

The total need for various types of paper for the 2024 election logistics is around 65,998 tons or the equivalent of 65,998,000 kilograms of paper.

This need can be replaced by planting 5,709,898 tree seedlings. So it is hoped that each tree seedling will replace 11.6 kilograms of paper.

Based on this, if you calculate the number of tree seeds, 5,709,898 times 11.6 kg, it is the same as 66,234,816 kg or 66,234 tons.
“This number is almost equivalent or comparable to the paper used in the 2024 election,” he said.

This is a symbol of gratitude to Allah Almighty, gratitude to the earth, and efforts to reforest trees which contribute to fulfilling logistics in the form of paper in the 2024 Election.

This simultaneous inauguration received awards from the Indonesian Museum of World Records (MURI) for three record categories, namely, First, Simultaneous Inauguration of the most election organizing members. Second, simultaneous technical guidance to the largest number of election organizing members. Third, planting the most tree seedlings simultaneously by the most members of the election organizers.
