Early Thursday morning, near the village of Bressonnaz near Moudon, a pedestrian was hit by a motorist who did not stop. The victim was airlifted to a hospital. The Vaud police are looking for witnesses.

A 65-year-old Friborg woman was hit by a person driving a car Thursday morning, on the road to Berne near Moudon, and is in critical condition. The accident occurred near the village of Bressonnaz around 5:45 a.m. The victim had to be transferred to the CHUV using a REGA helicopter, while the motorist, traveling in a gray Ford Grand C-Max car, fled. The Vaud police are calling for witnesses: anyone who can provide information about the accident is asked to call 021 343 15 10 or go to the nearest police station.

The road to Berne had to be closed for a moment to allow emergency services to intervene.
