Last night Spekter and the unions agreed on the initial negotiations.
Spekter, which is the employer’s association for state-affiliated enterprises such as health enterprises, certain cultural institutions, Posten and Vinmonopolet, negotiates with LO, YS, Unio and Akademikerne on several different agreements.
The initial negotiations between Unio and Spekter are about overall matters, not money, and include, among other things, the Norwegian Nurses Association and the Swedish Research Association.
Union informs that agreement was reached on annual local pay talks, a party-composed committee on the use of artificial intelligence and further deadlines for this year’s negotiations.
Local settlement starts now
The final salary supplements in the Spekter businesses are agreed in the local negotiations outside the businesses, in so-called B negotiations. These local settlements, for example the Research Council, the National Museum and the Folkemuseet, must be completed by 3 May at 12 noon. There, the parties must also negotiate about the framework itself, based on the 5.2 per cent of the frontline subject, and conditions at the individual workplace.
A separate round of negotiations has been agreed for the hospitals and healthcare institutions, which will start with central negotiations with all unions on Thursday 2 May.
Spekter has also finished initial negotiations with other main associations. LO stat and YS negotiate more centrally, and have agreed on a general supplement to their members of NOK 13,650 a year, which is in line with the front profession.
KI and home office
The parties emphasize that there must be good discussions with the shop stewards when artificial intelligence (AI) is to be used in the workplace.
A separate committee will look at what KI will mean for the development of workplaces around the country, both for businesses and employees. The committee will also help to achieve good processes locally.
Another point in the negotiations concerned the use of home offices, which has become more widespread after the pandemic. Pay and working conditions must now be discussed with the shop stewards also in connection with teleworking/home office.
In addition, the parties must ask the Ministry of Labor and Inclusion to find out whether the rules for occupational injury insurance for home office/remote work fit today’s working life.
