Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), conveyed his partyā€™s targets in the 2024 elections. The target at the DPR RI level is for the Democrats to win 70 seats.

ā€œWe hope to reach double digits for our seats in the DPR RI. Meanwhile, in the Provincial DPRD, Regency, City, we also hope that there will be a significant increase from our achievement in 2019,ā€ said AHY to journalists after voting at TPS 101 Cipete Utara, South Jakarta. Wednesday (14/2/2024).

If this is fulfilled, AHY said the Democrats should be happy. He himself left everything to the final election results later. However, AHY hopes to reach 70 seats in the DPR RI.

ā€œWhat is clear is that last time the Democrats had 54 DPR RI seats, if converted it was 9.7%. But this time we hope we can reach 70 seats,ā€ he said.

AHY then answered questions about the Chairman of the Democratic Party High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), who voted in Pacitan, East Java. He said SBY would not be long.

ā€œMr SBY voted in Pacitan. We donā€™t know when he will return for sure. I donā€™t think it will be that long,ā€ he explained.

AHY said that SBY would not be present when monitoring the vote count at Istora Senayan with the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN). AHY gave SBYā€™s message to Indonesia.

ā€œPray together, we pray together. The point is that we want Indonesia to get better, more advanced, through this election we together strengthen the government and leadership in the future,ā€ he concluded.
