Ajoie pulled off a nice move on the transfer market by signing the Finnish Oula Palve, top scorer in his national championship, for one year and an option for an additional year.
An experienced 32-year-old center player, Oula Palve arrives from Ilves Tampere, where he will discover the fourth championship of his career after having played matches in the SHL, AHL and Liiga.
Trained at JYP, he also played for Jukurit, HPK and TPS Turku before crossing the Atlantic, where he played for the Pittsburgh and Dallas farm teams in the AHL.
More than one point per game in Liiga
On his return to Europe, he played for the Swedish teams Linköping and Brynäs, before signing up in 2023 with Ilves Tampere in Finland. In 253 Liiga games, Oula Palve totaled 207 points (60 goals, 147 assists). Last year, he finished as the top scorer in the regular Liiga championship with 64 points in 60 matches.
Oula Palve joins his compatriot Jerry Turkulainen (second scorer in the same championship), TJ Brennan, Jonathan Hazen and Phil-Michael Devos within the HCA foreign brigade.
