The film studio 20th Century Fox has released the first teaser for “Alien: Romulus”. It is a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi classic “Alien”. There are a total of six films in the series. The last film, “Alien: Covenant,” came out in 2017.

“Alien: Romulus” is intended to return to the roots of the original. The focus is on a group of young space colonists who are confronted with the most fearsome life form in the universe on an abandoned space station.

The new sci-fi film is set between the first “Alien” film and the sequel “Aliens” (1986) by James Cameron.

The cast includes new actresses and actors. Since Sigourney Weaver’s character Ripley was in cold sleep between these two films, a cameo is unlikely. The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Star director Ridley Scott is back on board. He is producing the film together with Michael Pruss and Walter Hill. Directed by Fede Alvarez. This is mainly known for horror films like “Evil Dead” and “Don’t Breathe”.

Originally, “Alien: Romulus” would not have been shown in cinemas and would have appeared directly on the Disney Plus streaming service. Just like the “Predator” prequel “Prey” before it. But due to the high number of viewers and the positive feedback from fans, Disney changed its mind and the new “Alien” film will be shown on the big screen.

“Alien: Romulus” will be shown in cinemas in German-speaking Switzerland from August 15, 2024.

After the fake Mother’s Day photo, Kate is now said to have actually made a physical appearance. And the world, as always, fears the worst.

There are UFO sightings and now also Kate sightings. Because if half the world has been asking itself for weeks: “Where is Kate?”, there must also be people who are gradually hallucinating Kate. I know this because I was one of those teenagers who, in their 80s childhood, conjured up UFOs, stared into a lit flashlight until they inevitably had UFO-esque appearances, and were guaranteed to find alien footprints in the garden the next day. In any case, we found alien traces in a surprising number of garden beds.
