Amparanoia, review of her album Fan Fan Fanfarria (2024)

Amparanoia returns with its umpteenth incarnation. Amparo Sánchez’s project merges this time with Artistas del Gremio, a young charanga from Zaragoza with whom they had already recorded the song “My genetics (charanga version)” in 2022 and played live at the final concert in Granada of their 25th anniversary tour.

Now they join forces again to enter the studio again to record. On the one hand, to carry out three singles that they have been releasing in recent months with their respective video clips: “Something is happening”, “The scales” y “Fanfarria”. They will compile them all along with seven new versions of classics from Amparanoiawhere there is no shortage of successes like “Damn you” o “Good vibes”.

The result is “Fan Fan Fanfarria”, a new album that will be published in early 2024 in blue vinyl and digital format. All to show the world what they have prepared for the tour that throughout 2024 and 2025 will bring up to fifteen musicians on stage (including Amparo’s two children). Something that they themselves have defined as a “bomba balkan-mex-swing-electro-charanga-mestiza”.

A mix of metals, percussion, DJs and electronic bases with a Balkan and festive air, where the band’s followers will hear the “classic” songs with a new twist. All released by Mamita Records, the label created by the Andalusian artist herself.
