Apollo Tires further expands its line of EnduRace RD2 tires for trucks and buses with the introduction of the new 295/80 size. This new product, marketed across Europe starting this month, joins the already popular 315/70 and 315/80 variants of the second generation EnduRace RD2.
Designed to fit 22.5-inch wheels, the standard for most modern commercial truck and bus tires, the EnduRace RD2 excels in a wide range of weather conditions. It offers optimal rolling resistance, extended mileage and long life.
The EnduRace RD2, produced in Europe, stands out for its quality and performance, maintaining a competitive price on the market. Suitable for medium and long distance transport operators, the tire is classified B for its wet performance and is certified for grip on snow-covered surfaces, highlighted by the snowflake and three-peaked mountain symbol.
The unique groove tread design incorporates Apollo Tyres’ “Invisible Groove Technology” and “Multi-Edge” shoulder blocks to optimize performance on slippery surfaces. A larger contact area allows for even pressure distribution across the tread, improving durability and minimizing rolling resistance. The reinforced carcass exceeds European regulatory requirements and offers durability 1.7 times greater than the industry standard, while also ensuring notable tear-resistant qualities.
The predecessor of this new size, the EnduRace RD2 315/80 R22.5, already received widespread critical praise in the European truck and bus sector when it was launched in August 2021. Its 315/70 R22 variant, 5 was introduced in July 2022, further broadening the appeal of this product line.
