Aston Villa vs Chelsea ended without a winner in the 2023/2024 Premier League. The score finished 2-2, with the Blues catching up to two goals behind.

Playing at Villa Park, Birmingham, Sunday (28/4/2024) early morning WIB, Chelsea fell behind 0-2. Marc Cucurella’s suicide and a goal from Morgan Rogers gave them the lead going into the break.

In the second half, Chelsea only responded. Goals from Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher ensured the visitors stole a point from their opponents’ home ground.

This result means that Chelsea is still stuck in 9th position in the Premier League standings with 48 points from 33 matches. Meanwhile Villa is still in fourth position with 67 points from 35 matches.

The Course of the Match

Villa pressed from the start of the match. As a result, a quick goal was obtained in the 4th minute.

Marc Cucurella misanticipated the opponent’s ball and it went into his own goal. Goal, Villa winning 1-0.

After the goal, the match was fierce. Chelsea finally got the equalizer through Conor Gallagher’s action in the 82nd minute. Score 2-2.

In injury time, Villa conceded through Robin Olsen’s suicide. However, the goal was disallowed by VAR. The score lasted until the final whistle sounded.
