A field of beached whales, numbering around 60, crowd the Cheynes shoreline in Western Australia. They arrived ashore “probably around 3.30pm on Tuesday,” he told Al Guardian Allan Marshowner of the Cheynes Beach Campground.

Some of them are still alive, and a race against time has already begun to save as many as possible.
