In 2018 came the shock news that Swedish Tim Bergling, better known by his stage name Avicii, had passed away. He was only 28 years old.
Died after the marathon
Now reporting Bild that the artist’s ex-girlfriend Emily Grace Goldberg has died, aged 34. according to the obituary she died of a pulmonary embolism on April 3 in California.
Pulmonary embolism is a disease in which a plug of solid material (blood clot) breaks free from its place of origin and is carried by the blood stream to the lungs, where it blocks one of the pulmonary arteries, according to PEDIATRIC.
In the obituary, Goldberg is described as a unique person who “experienced many adventures during his short life”. Furthermore, it says that she traveled the world on a post-college music tour in 2012, which is presumably Avicii’s well-known Levels tour of the same year.
Bergling and Goldberg reportedly met at George Washington University when Goldberg was studying there in 2011. They went their separate ways in 2013.

Goldberg is survived by his mother Julie, father Sam and brother Aaron Goldberg.
The 34-year-old has apparently been affected by illness for a long time.
“I have had cancer for the past year and am now cancer free,” Goldberg captioned her latest Instagram post, published last May.
