Bagnols-sur-Cèze: Jean-Marc Généreux joins the jury for the Trophée des Garrigues which will take place on April 20

Organized each year by the dance association Dynamic Danse Sportive of Patrick Fargier and which has become a true dance institution in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, the Trophée des Garrigues will take place on April 20 at the Eyrieux gymnasium. The opportunity to come and see several hundred dancers compete in dance battles, but also in team performances.

The day will be divided into two parts, the first with the couples dance competition, during which the couples will perform on the following dances: Latin dance, rock standard and boogy. Rock and boogy also represent the big novelty of this year 2024, since it is the first time that they will be competed during the Trophée des Garrigues.

The second part will continue in the evening which will be devoted to the Ultimate Urban Latin with its jury of stars.
After a 2023 edition marked by the presence of Alizée, Grégoire, Candice Pascale and even Anthony Colette, Patrick Fargier this year once again pulled out all the stops for this event which is already full, since the places are all gone in less 24 hours after the first tickets go on sale.

In the jury, we will find Alizée and Grégoire Lyonnet. Those who have shared their lives between dance and love for more than 10 years now will, once again this year, be honorary members. alongside them, another figure from the TV program Dancing With The Stars: Jean-Marc Généreux, the most famous Quebec juror. While he is currently participating in the 13th season of DALS, his 11th on the jury, he will rate the participating teams and couples competing to win this Ultimate Urban Latin. The jury will be completed by Axel Sampino & Anna Zgonnikova, U21 world dance champions.

The progress of the Ultimate Urban Latin
The concept: qualifications to reach the final and dance, a couple against another couple with direct eliminations.
For the final, 8 couples will be qualified and will compete 2 by 2 in a duel to the same music, dancing at the same time.
During the first duel, the couples will have to dance for 1 minute 30 to cha-cha-cha. For the second dance, the 4 chosen couples will dance to samba and for the finale the last 2 couples on the list will compete on Jive.
For this competition and in the desire to dust off the strict codes of dance a little, there will be no constraints!
Neither age, nor choreography, nor range, nor outfit! The dancers will come dressed as they wish, rhinestones and sequins or sneakers and jeans….
