Frida Maanum (24) has been through thorough investigations after the collapse on the pitch last weekend. Arsenal states that no fault has been found with the heart.
It comes out in one status update from the English club.
Maanum has been examined by two cardiologists. She fell over on the pitch in Arsenal’s final victory over Chelsea in the League Cup last Sunday.
– No obvious heart problems have been found so far in the examinations, writes Arsenal.
Maanum will miss Norway’s first two matches in the European Championship qualification in football, as a result of the collapse at the weekend.
The Norwegian Football Association enlightened about the cancellation on Thursday.
It was already known that Maanum was not going to be ready for Friday’s match against Finland.
It was five minutes into overtime of the 2nd half that Maanum fell over and lay motionless on the grass. She quickly received medical treatment, and after a while she was taken out on a stretcher with an oxygen mask.
Arsenal scored late in extra time to beat Chelsea 1-0.
Norway starts the hunt for the European Championship play-offs in 2025 at home against Finland next Friday. The Netherlands then await away on April 9.
