Civil and military authorities will welcome, this afternoon, the emblematic sailing training ship BAP Unión, which returns triumphantly to Peruvian territory, after its trip around the world, which took it to travel 5 continents and visit 21 ports in 15 countries, in 317 days, bringing the best of Peruvian culture to other nations, he reported to the Peruvian Navy (MGP).
The arrival ceremony will take place at 2:00 in the afternoon, at the Callao Naval Base, where the crew and the entire crew are also awaited by their families.
Previously, the boat will depart at 9:30 in the morning from the Chorrillos cove, where it remained since yesterday Saturday after receiving a welcome from fishermen and the general public through a night retreat and fireworks.

The maritime embassy of Peru will also begin its tour of the Great Bay of Lima towards the port of Callao, which will be followed by a nautical parade. This event can be appreciated by the residents of the coastal districts, according to the following detail:

The circumnavigation of the BAP Unión began on June 17, 2023 and had the objective of forging the nautical character of the cadets of the Naval School of Peru through mastery of the sea under the principles of sailing.
Likewise, spread the image of Peru through the exhibition of its ancient culture, tourist destinations and flagship export products, and pay tribute to the Bicentennial of the Battles of Junín and Ayacucho.
Navigation around the world
The first destination of the BAP Unión was the island of Tahiti, in French Polynesia, on July 13, 2023. On August 16, it arrived in Guam, an island located in the Western Pacific and belonging to the United States (USA). .
Their next stops were Tokyo (Japan), Busan (South Korea), Singapore, Bombay (India), the Suez Canal (Egypt), Alexandria (Egypt), Civitavecchia (Italy) and La Spezzia (Italy). On the penultimate day of 2023, the crew arrived at the port of Piraeus (Greece).
In 2024, the BAP Unión continued its historic journey through the ports of Toulon (France), Málaga (Spain), Cádiz (Spain), Tanger Med (Morocco), Baltimore (USA), Miami (USA). .), Kingston (Jamaica), Curacao (Netherlands) and Balboa (Panama).
