The sun is shining again: the German Weather Service (DWD) has lifted the warning of strong thunderstorms in the city and district of Osnabrück. It was valid on Saturday afternoon, April 27th, from approximately 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. According to the report on the DWD homepage, the thunderstorms should come from the southwest. It said there were squalls with speeds of up to 65 kilometers per hour and hail.
The DWD warned of dangers from lightning strikes, falling branches, flying objects and hail. He recommended avoiding spending time outdoors or seeking shelter, for example indoors. Water should be avoided and free-standing objects such as furniture should be secured. Tents and covers should be secured. Anyone who spends time outdoors should pay attention to falling objects.
