Beat Röthlisberger becomes the new CEO of Postfinance

The Board of Directors of Postfinance has elected Beat Röthlisberger as the new Chief Executive Officer of Postfinance. From July 1, 2024, he will succeed Hansruedi Köng, who will step down as CEO at the end of February 2024 after twelve years.

The business economist Röthlisberger currently heads the corporate customer consulting division at Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB) as a member of the management board, where he also took on the role of deputy CEO in August 2021.

His career in the financial sector began in 1992 at the Swiss Bank Association (SBV) in Basel. Until 2015, he held various positions at SBV and UBS Basel. Among other things, he was deputy regional manager for corporate customers and deputy head of credit risk management.

Kurt Fuchs will run Postfinance on an interim basis from March to the end of June.
