Beaten by Feyenoord 6-0, Ajax Manager: This is an unforgettable defeat

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Feyenoord crushed Ajax Amsterdam with half a dozen goals without reply, 6-0, in the “Klassieker” derby in the 29th week of the Dutch League at the De Kuip Stadium, Rotterdam, Sunday night WIB.

Ajax Amsterdam manager John van’t Schip said this defeat was the most embarrassing in history and will always be an unforgettable defeat.

“Ajax are in a phase where things are going badly, this game is like men against boys, or even schoolboys. It’s a real shame… It’s a day you want to erase from your mind quickly, but it will haunt us for a long time,” said Ajax Manager John van ‘t Schip as quoted by AFP, Monday.

Six goals from host Feyenoord were scored respectively by Igor Paixao (34th and 66th minutes), Yankuba Minteh (35th and 56th minutes), David Hancko (45th minute) and Quinten Timber (35th minute). 62nd).

Apart from scoring half a dozen goals, Feyenoord also fired thirty shots, fifteen of which aimed directly at Geronimo Rulli’s goal.

“We can always have the possibility of losing, but we cannot accept defeat like this,” said Ajax Amsterdam captain Steven Bergwijn.

This season, Ajax has always been humiliated by Feyenoord in the “Klassieker” derby. Apart from losing by a margin of six goals, at the first meeting between the two teams which took place in September last year, Ajax was humiliated in front of its own supporters after being defeated by a score of four goals without reply.

“So far this season, we’ve beaten them 10-0. That’s pretty special,” said Quinten Timber.

This result makes Feyenoord maintain its hopes of locking in a European Champions League zone ticket. Currently Feyenoord is in second place with a collection of 69 points from 29 matches or nine points behind PSV Eindhoven who leads the top of the standings.
