The course of the match Real Madrid vs Barcelona

Trailing by one goal, Madrid immediately started looking for an equalizer. They attacked Barcelona’s defense and had a chance in the eighth minute through Vinicius’ flick but it went over the bar.

Vinicius had a second chance to score in the 13th minute but his header went wide of the target. A minute later Lunin’s turn was tested when he blocked Lamine Yamala’s shot into the corner of the goal.

In the 30th minute Yamal kicked Raphinha’s cross into the goal and it was declared a goal which gave Barcelona a 2-1 lead. Then, VAR annulled it because it turned out the ball had not completely crossed the goal line, when Lunin tried to block it.

After being tied at 1-1 throughout the first half, Madrid and Barcelona bought and sold attacks to score additional goals. Barcelona took the lead again in the 69th minute.

Yamal again troubled Madrid’s defense with his speed on the wing. This time Lunin couldn’t throw his crossing perfectly and fell at the feet of Fermin Lopez who immediately kicked it into the goal.

In the 72nd minute, Madrid almost equalized the score when Ter Stegen failed to anticipate a pass into his area. Bellingham quickly threw the ball back but it went wide.

Vazquez made the score 2-2 in the 73rd minute. Valverde gave Vinicius a long pass on the left side and finished with a cross to the far post. Without control, Vazquez easily volleyed into Barcelona’s goal.

The match looked like it would end in a draw because Barcelona defended more and Madrid continued to attack in the remaining 15 minutes.

Bellingham! The English midfielder scored his team’s third goal in the 91st minute. Bellingham was at the far post to meet Vazquez’s cross with his left foot and the ball headed into the top corner of Ter Stegen’s goal.

The 3-2 score sent Madrid to win the second El Clasico this season.
