The Eliteserien’s only undefeated team struggled for a long time against a hard-working Strømsgodset team.
For 71 minutes, the visitors from Drammen defended themselves tooth and nail, but then it slammed into the net behind goalkeeper Per Kristian Bråtveit:
Håkon Evjen got the ball at Godset’s feet inside the 16-metre area and used the opportunity to curl an artificial goal into the far corner.

In the 94th minute, the goalkeeper quickly threw himself down and prevented a goal from Gustav Valsvik. The last chance immediately received kisses, pats and hugs from Evjen and the rest of the people in yellow:
– It was nice to score, my God, but I was even happier when Nikita saved at the end, says a cheerful Evjen to TV 2.
– Wow, yes. Luckily I had a strong left hand there. It is delightful. There is a shared love between players and fans here. That’s why I’m here, Haikin sums up to TV 2 – while the Glimt fans sang for their goalkeeper.

The pearl goal from Evjen and Haikin’s save ensures that Glimt has 16 points in six games. Down to Brann in second place, there is a difference of two points, but the Bergens have played seven games.
At the same time, title rival Molde surprisingly lost 1–3 away to Sandefjord. The Romsdalingen are three points behind Glimt and have also played seven games.
As a 19-year-old, Håkon Evjen wreaked havoc in the Eliteserien 2019 and was named Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year.
After stays abroad in AZ Alkmaar and Brøndby, Evjen returned to Bodø this winter. In the first six games of the season, he has scored two goals.
