Atlético Nacional still has not won in the Pablo Repetto era. The purslane team lost in the last minute to Boyacá Chicó at the La Independencia stadium in Tunja. The Antioquian goal was from Jefferson Duque while Wilmar Cruz and Henry Plazas scored for the Boyacenses.

In the first half, Chicó wanted to surprise in the opening minute in a play that began on the left and continued with the contest for the ball in Nacional’s area. It was left to Wilmar Cruz who sent it to the back of the net, but the VAR invalidated the goal for being offside.

Five minutes later, the local team came close with Joan Cortes, who unbalanced from the left and took a shot from without much of an angle that was saved by Harlen Castillo. Immediately afterwards, Michael Gómez had another clear shot for Chicó with a cross header that barely grazed the post of Nacional’s goal.

At 15′, Cortés had another chance for the chessmen in a play in which the winger left his mark, entered the area and wanted to surprise Castillo with another shot from without much of an angle.

However, after the local chances, Nacional would be in charge of opening the scoring in the 25th minute. Pablo Ceppelini sent a great ball to the head of Jefferson Duque and the forward connected in a great way to put Tunja first.

In the 35th minute, Nacional was almost able to increase its advantage with Duque who went alone against goalkeeper Sebastián Arango who bothered the attacker, but he kept the ball and hit a backheel that the Chicó defense could not clear. However, everything was invalidated as out of place.

Before the end of the first half, Chicó was left with ten after the expulsion of Braynner Mejía for a hard foul on Edier Ocampo when they both came to dispute for the ball.

Already in the second half, Nacional had a dangerous chance with Óscar Perea who took the center from the left looking for Duque, but there the defense became complicated and they almost scored an own goal. After this play came Chicó’s goal. The local team went on the offensive and after a cross from the right, Juan José Arias wanted to clear, but he made a mistake and left it to Cruz who finished between Castillo’s legs.

In the 65th minute, Chicó almost went ahead on the scoreboard again, Cruz took a left-footed shot from a long distance that barely passed one side of the purslane goal.

After this chance, Chicó dedicated itself to wasting some time while Nacional had no dangerous approaches to achieve victory as a visitor.

However, there was one last goal left in the game and what a goal. Henry Plazas grabbed the ball and took a brilliant free kick to beat the purslane goal and achieve the comeback with ten players.

With the defeat, Nacional has accumulated seven games without winning and is second to last with 10 points while Chicó is 16th with 12 points.
