For those who love art, however, at the Poldi Pezzoli House Museum there is still time to admire the Augustinian Polyptych by Piero della Francesca. A unique opportunity to see it, 555 years after its creation and after the division between various international museum collections, exceptionally reunited. For the first time in history, eight panels from five international museums will be exhibited. Presented in an evocative display, the panels will be placed side by side with the frames that have ‘accompanyed’ them throughout these centuries of collecting history, to give the public and scholars the full experience of Pierfrancescan work with all its evocative power of Renaissance era.

In the Alimentazione iLab they will be able to experiment with sweet ingredients and find the perfect recipe for ice cream; but also create impressive reactions and illuminate the darkness in the Chimica iLab; while in the iLab Genetica they will be able to experiment with the cultivation of salad in space and extract the DNA of fruit and vegetables.

For children aged 11 and over it will be possible to go on a mission to Mars Base. There will be no shortage of guided tours for adults and children of the Leonardo Galleries, rail transport and air-sea transport. On Wednesday 1 May the Museum will offer other activities, in which children from 8 years old will be able to build acrobatic marble runs in the Tinkering Zone and observe organisms under the microscope in the iLab Biotecnologie, while from 9 years old young visitors will be able to immerse themselves in digital installations among images interactive and sound art, in the Future Inventors interactive laboratory. Adults and children aged 12 and over will be able to take part in a team challenge, testing themselves with the M4RT3 online escape game! in the room of the transatlantic Biancamano.

Special events also for sports lovers, with the Italian roller skating team involved in a futuristic project called ‘Van Gogh skate experience’. The initiative will take place starting from 3pm on Tuesday 30 April in Milan, within the immersive exhibition entitled ‘Van Gogh: the Immersive experience’, on stage at the former Milanese railway yard, Lampo Scalo Farini (in via Valtellina) . Among the world champions of the Italian national team, who will perform immersed in the art of the Dutch painter known for his ‘Starry Night’, also Chiara Censori, who graduated in 2019 as Italian, European and world champion and is particularly loved on social media, so much so that she has over 56 thousand followers on Instagram and more than 900 thousand on TikTok.
