The famous Croatian actor Branko Smiljanić died at the age of 67 after a long battle with a serious illness.

The news about the actor’s death was shared by Petra Mrduljaš from Public Relations of the Zagreb Puppet Theatre.
“He died after a long and serious illness. He was active in the theater until his last day,” reads the announcement, as reported by Večernji.hr. Actor Siniša Ružić also said goodbye to him on social networks.
Branko was born in 1956 in Zagreb, and acted in numerous Croatian series. Among them: “Love in the hinterland”, “Forbidden love”, “Pride of the Ratkajes”, “Bugs and princesses”, “Midsummer fires”.
He was also a member of the Puppet Theater in Rijeka from 1978 to 1985. He has been in the Zagreb Puppet Theater since 2003 and played in the plays ‘Odyssey’, ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Neva Nevičica’, and ‘The Magic Flute’.
