Alice Munro was born in 1931 in Wingham, Ontario. She debuted along with her first assortment of quick tales, Dance of Happy Shades, in 1968, and in 2009 she was awarded the celebrated Man Booker International Prize.
Munro studied on the University of Western Ontario. Together along with her first husband, she opened the well-known bookstore Munro’s Books in 1963 within the metropolis of Victoria.
Her books have been translated into 13 languages. In 1998, “A great girl’s love” was chosen as the very best ebook by all eight editors within the prestigious ebook journal The New York Times Book Review.
