British PM apologizes for wearing Adidas Samba shoes

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak apologized to the public and claimed he had been a fan of Adidas shoes for a long time.

Sunak’s apology came following a lot of criticism against him for wearing Adidas Samba shoes, shoes which are currently one of the trends. These critics accused Sunak of destroying the credibility of fans of the shoe.

He made the apology after he was seen wearing the grey, white and black Adidas Samba shoes in an interview at Downing Street. These shoes are combined with a white shirt, dark blue chinos and black socks.

In his apology, Sunak admitted he wore the German sports brand for many years and was a long-time fan of Adidas.

“I offer my deepest apologies to the Samba community. However, in my defense, I will say that I have worn Adidas shoes including Samba for many years,” he was quoted as saying The Guardian.

He emphasized that his brother had also given him Adidas shoes for Christmas in the past. So, said Sunak, he never turned his back on the shoe product and became a fan.

“Those shoes [dalam video] “I did buy them, but I’ve had Adidas shoes for a long time,” he added.

Before Sunak apologized, many social media users said they would sell their shoes online because Sunak wore them. Some said Sunak had ruined everyone’s performance.

Another comment even said that in an “attempt to present himself as young and trendy, Rishi Sunak took an ever-cool sneaker and ruined it for everyone.”
