“Little by little”; the piece by Cocciante arranged by Salvatore Cauteruccio with his accordion; an important melody, in all stores
Scalea, 22 March 2024 – It was already an important melody, but in the hands that flow over the keyboard of Salvatore Cauteruccio’s accordion, Riccardo Cocciante’s song, “A mano a mano” becomes literally wonderful. The slow and elongated flow of the notes confirms the mastery of Salvatore Cauteruccio who is an internationally renowned artist with important collaborations. For a few days now, the song “A mano a mano” has been on all digital stores. It is an arrangement in solo accordion by Salvatore Cauteruccio of the very famous song by Riccardo Cocciante. «In this period – declared Cauteruccio – I spend a lot of time in the studio recording; I really like to dedicate a good part of my work to Italian author music because I find it really interesting to play some masterpieces that are part of my life on the accordion.
With the production we decided to publish one song a month, alongside a textual part written by artists I frequent daily”. And the accordion, seen by many as a “popular” instrument, without taking anything away from the genre that can be produced, in the hands by Cauteruccio, becomes an instrument that enchants, that fascinates, that attracts. And the last arrangement of the piece by Cocciante is a completely personal version of Cauteruccio, which highlights the melodic part of the writing through a free interpretation, dictated by sensations that the “phrases” suggested during the performance. Cauteruccio informs that the song was recorded in Scalea, in the accordionist’s new studio, mastered at the JM studio in Milan and produced by the NSJ label.
And its presence in the center of the Tyrrhenian Sea of Cosenza can only represent a source of pride for the community also because Cauteruccio, who is not a beginner, has already produced an interesting discography for the most important record labels in Italy and beyond. Salvatore Cauteruccio mainly deals with modern accordion and has played; in Italy, Russia, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Brazil, Albania, England, appearing on important stages. Since 2012, alongside the singer-songwriter Mariella Nava, he has collaborated with Cesare Cremonini, Geoff Westley, Amedeo Minghi, Anna Mazzamauro, Paolo Vallesi, Eric Daniel. He is in the Top List of the top ten Italian accordionists at the Jazzit Awards. He has written and arranged music for several theater shows. In short, an artist in the midst of his activity ready to let his hands fly and caress the accordion to delight those who listen to author’s music.
