Nothing is done in the first semi-final of the Champions League. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid drew 2-2, a score that leaves all options open before the return on May 8.
It was Carlo Ancelotti’s men who struck first at the Allianz Arena, Vinicius taking advantage of a bright opening from Kroos (24th). This success came after the Germans had dominated, especially during the initial ten minutes, but without managing to materialize.
Shocked, Bayern needed the undoubtedly strong words of Thomas Tuchel during the break. Because when they returned from the locker room, the Bavarian players found color, energy and ideas.
Situation reversed in a few minutes
This allowed them to turn the situation around in a few minutes, first with a great individual action from Sané (53rd), then with a penalty obtained by Musiala and transformed by Kane (57th). The English striker thus scored his 43rd goal of the season, in all competitions, in 43 matches!
The Madrilenians, who seemed to be playing on velvet after the opening score, probably did not expect such a second half from their opponents. The latter also came close several times to a third goal which would have put the visitors in a difficult situation. But as is often the case, Real ended up getting through it. Kim committed the irreparable on Rodrygo and Vinicius equalized from the penalty spot (83rd).
Bayern will therefore need an exploit on their return if they still intend to cherish the hope of finishing the season by winning a major trophy, their last clean sheet dating back to 2012. For their part, Real has still slightly the favors of the forecast to reach an 18th final in his favorite European competition.
