Threats of terror dominate the headlines hours before the Champions League quarter-finals kick off on Tuesday evening.
– UEFA is aware of the alleged terrorist threats against this week’s Champions League matches and is in close contact with the authorities at the respective arenas.
That’s what UEFA writes in an email to Nettavisen on Tuesday afternoon.
The association also states that the matches will go ahead as planned.
– All matches will go ahead as planned with a suitable security arrangement in place, writes UEFA.

“Kill them all”
On Tuesday, Arsenal will be visited by Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium, while Manchester City will play Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Spanish capital.
On Wednesday, it is ready for the quarter-finals between Atletico Madrid and Dortmund, as well as PSG and Barcelona.
All the battles are mentioned in what is referred to as a terrorist threat from a group connected to IS.
It was Spanish AS who already reported the threat on Monday evening. It happened after a picture was shared in which the four quarter-final arenas are mentioned together with the message “kill them all”.

Increases security in Paris
Nettavisen was informed by police outside the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday afternoon that they currently have a normal supply of security personnel, but that they are more vigilant as a result of the threat.
In France, however, they are taking bigger steps before Wednesday’s quarter-final between PSG and Barcelona.
– Security will be considerably strengthened, says French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin on Tuesday afternoon.
Darmanin states that the threat has come against all four matches in the Champions League.
