Many people use their smartphones to navigate in their car. Google Maps is often used. Google therefore tries to make the application as easy to use as possible so that users can navigate easily. Now reported “smartdroid” that a function has been removed in this context.
Android Auto was replaced some time ago by the new “Assistant Driving Mode”. But this didn’t last long either and had to give way to a slimmed-down version. There was only one function left that was supposed to make it easier to use while driving: the quick access app. These included, for example, music apps. But this function has also been abolished since February. At least one aspect of it has been preserved.
