The Gasthaus am Wilden Kaiser, known from the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor”, was damaged by a maypole. A child was also seriously injured in the accident.

A fallen maypole destroyed the inn of the popular ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor”. Like the Austrian one, among others “Kronen Zeitung” reported that a gust of wind brought down a crane and tree in Going in the Austrian Tyrol on Tuesday afternoon.
Not only was the roof of the well-known building destroyed, but a seven-year-old boy was also seriously injured. However, the child is currently out of danger.
The accident has affected the recently started filming of the 18th season of “Der Bergdoktor”.
«The inn appears in every episode. “You have to reorganize and change the shooting schedule somehow,” a spokeswoman for the production company told ndF «Bild»: «We will find some solution. The most important thing is that the boy gets better quickly.”
Hans Sigl comments on the maypole accident
“Bergdoktor” lead actor Hans Sigl also commented on the accident in an interview with “Bild”: “I wish the boy and everyone who was injured a speedy recovery and all the best.”
His filming partner Monika Baumgartner agrees: “I wish the injured boy all the best and a speedy recovery after this shock. And I hope that the damage to the house isn’t too severe. Everything else can be organized.”
Ronja Forcher, who appears in front of the camera as Lilli Gruber in the series, wrote on Instagram: “It was with great shock that I just learned about the accident in Going. Incredible! Luckily no one was killed.” She also wishes the injured child “a quick and speedy recovery.”
