From China, the release of images continues that should demonstrate to the international community that tennis player Peng Shuai is happy and calm. This time it is some photos and a video that, according to sources, would prove Peng’s presence at the final of a youth tournament in Beijing. The photos were posted on the official event page on WeChat by the tournament organizers, the same as the China Open. The video, on the other hand, was posted on Twitter by Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of the Global Times (“State affiliate media).
In the video Peng, blue jacket and white sports trousers, “guest” of the Fila Kids Junior Tennis Challenger, is presented to the public and takes a step forward to garner the applause. Peng has not appeared in public since the beginning of November, after he revealed he was sexually abused by former Deputy Prime Minister Zhang Gaoli.

Faced with the pressure of the world tennis authorities, associations for the defense of human rights and many personalities, an email was made public from China in which Peng would retract every accusation against Gaoli, then images of his alleged serenity. The effect obtained, at least for now, is the opposite: the concern for the fate and health conditions of the 35-year-old athlete, former number one in women’s doubles, is growing stronger.
