He is a legendary actor and Hollywood’s longest-serving director. But Clint Eastwood (93) has rarely appeared in public in recent years.
Now the Oscar winner made an exception. A month before his 94th birthday, Eastwood appeared in his adopted hometown of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, at an event hosted by famous chimpanzee researcher Dr. Jane Goodall (90).
In a blue checkered flannel shirt, gray pants, sneakers, with slightly disheveled hair and a bushy beard, the former mayor of the northern Californian coastal town sat in a great mood in the front row, reports „DailyMail“.

Despite his age and having to be supported by an assistant as he entered, Clint also made an appearance on stage and joined the primatologist at a VIP reception before the event.

The two seem to have a passion for monkeys in common. In 1978, Clint Eastwood starred alongside the orangutan Clyde in the film Every Which Way but Loose. Eastwood actually said goodbye as an actor in 2008 with the film “Gran Torino”. But there was a reunion in 2019 when he appeared in front of his own camera again in “The Mule”.

As an actor, Eastwood is best remembered for his roles in Sergio Leone’s Dollar trilogy and as “Dirty Harry”. He has also been making films himself since the 70s; his greatest directing works are “Merciless” (1992), “Mystic River” (2003) and “Million Dollar Baby” (2004).
And he is still active as a director even now. Eastwood’s next project – his 40th as a director – will definitely be his last. Filming for the thriller “Juror No.” began in June 2023. 2” starring Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette. It is not yet known when the film will be released in cinemas.
