At least 13 people have died after a van collided with the rear of a freight truck on a highway in Tamaulipas, northern Mexico, the state Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) said. The accident occurred at kilometer 80 of the Hidalgo-Zaragoza motorway, explained the Ssp. The Civil Protection added in another statement that both vehicles caught fire after the collision. According to the Secretariat, the State Guard personnel who arrived at the scene of the accident did not find the lorry driving the trailer against which the other vehicle collided. Investigations are underway to ascertain who is responsible for the incident
