Connected villages, the workshop promoted by WINDTRE on Thursday in Otricoli

Thursday 9 May 2024 at 10 am the Municipality of Otricoli will host the workshop “Digitization of small villages: Opportunities and solutions” in the multipurpose hall – Strada delle Grotti. The meeting is organized by the telecommunications and services company WINDTRE as part of the “Connected Villages” project.

It will be an opportunity to do an in-depth study on digitalization of small villages and on the opportunities that this offers dedicated to municipal administrators and local authority staff.

Connected Villages” is WINDTRE’s sustainability project which aims to accompany the growth of small Italian municipalities thanks to the diffusion of digital skills and smart technologies. The initiative is part of the ten objectives of the company’s sustainability plan and its commitment to promoting greater inclusion in Internet access and contributing to reducing the territorial, economic, cultural and demographic digital divide in the country.

The project, in addition to enhancing existing infrastructures, pays particular attention to the growth of greater digital culture and awareness in small municipalities and to the development of initiatives that benefit the community. In particular, through:

Education on the conscious use of the internet and training on new technologies for adults and children, through the NeoConnessi and NeoConnessi Silver projects;

Evaluation of infrastructure of Telecommunications; Consulting on technological needs and on the opportunities offered by digital services; Development of innovative services dedicated to the community.
