Corinthians comeback at the end, beat São Paulo in the Brazilian women’s championship

With eight wins and a draw, Corinthians reached 28 and opened six for vice Palmeiras. Brabas are undefeated in the competition, with nine wins and one draw.

São Paulo is in fourth place, with 17 points. The São Paulo team, however, has one game in hand.

In the next round, Corinthians faces Real Brasília, and São Paulo hosts Flamengo. Alvinegro takes to the field on Saturday (18), at 11am (Brasília time), while Tricolor plays on Monday (20th), at 5pm (Brasília time).

How was the game

São Paulo put pressure on, but it was Corinthians who opened the scoring. The first minutes of the game belonged to Tricolor, who, even away from home, went after Brabas and faced danger after just five minutes, with a free kick. Corinthians, however, knew how to manage the opposing pressure and opened the scoring with Jhennifer at 14.

Corinthians adjusted their marking and explored their speed, while São Paulo tried to shoot from outside the area. The rest of the first half featured a lot of marking and little work for the goalkeepers. Brabas tried to make transitions, while São Paulo, having difficulty creating, took risks from outside the area. The score, however, remained unchanged.
