The US country musician Toby Keith is dead. He died on Monday evening at the age of 62, as can be read on his homepage. He fell asleep peacefully surrounded by his family. The singer and songwriter from Oklahoma was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022. His hits include songs like “How Do You Like Me Now?!”, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and “Beer for My Horses”, a duet with country star Willie Nelson. Keith, who became a big name on the scene in the midst of the country boom in the 90s, knew how to polarize and was considered a cocky figure.
