Sortland also warned that the situation in Tunisia will deteriorate further in the next few days due to the widespread spread of the mutant strain of Delta.
He added that in this country with a population of 12 million, more than 100 new deaths in a single day have been registered. This proportion is quite high. He also believes that Tunisia has not yet reached the peak of the epidemic.
The representative of the World Health Organization emphasized that it is still not enough to vaccinate about 10% of the country’s population with the new crown, and it is necessary to support Tunisia to vaccinate at least 20% of the population.
