BRUSSELS. The Covid risk maps drawn up by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Ecdc) have changed from today. The new formulation is no longer based only on cases notified in the last 14 days with the incidence of positivity in the tests, but is also weighted for the incidence of vaccinations.
Even in the new version, however, almost all of Europe remains in dark red, the highest level of infection and risk. The situation is therefore little changed compared to the map released on Thursday. Only one region southwest of Romania is now in the red. Last week there were two red regions in Poland and 2 in Romania.
