– After the World Cup in the USA, Simen contracted a cold and unfortunately has to sit out the NM, says national team doctor Ove Feragen.
Krüger recently took a World Cup victory in the 15-kilometer race in Canmore, Canada. He joins the ranks of national team runners who are not to be seen during the Norwegian championships at Beitostølen.
Harald Østberg Amundsen, Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget, Didrik Tønseth, Erik Valnes, and Håvard Solås Taugbøl do not participate either.
– The competition program so far in the season has been tough for several of our athletes, which we see has given challenges now after the last World Cup period. They therefore need a quieter period in terms of training and competitions, Feragen said on Wednesday.
