Diary from Kabul, the tragedy of mines also on 11 September as the Towers collapsed

ACCEPTANCE – On the morning of 11 September 2001 I left Kabul to go to Peshawar in Pakistan. The purpose of the trip was to convince a surgeon to come to Kabul to operate on our patients. Surgery would have significantly shortened suffering and hospital stay. Also, as with any trip to Pakistan, I would send dozens of letters entrusted to me by acquaintances and friends.
