It had been decades since there had been such an important and significant figure for the basic category of amateurs. During the Governing Council of the Regional Committee, the registrations of as many as 160 companies that registered for the Third Category Championship were ratified, the deadline for which was set for August 30th. A positive sign for the restart of the activities, the team of the Championship in fact recorded 14 past and unfortunate season, a fact that has never happened in recent decades which, on the contrary, had always seen a gradual but constant decrease in the teams at the starting line.
Among these eight Canavese and Low Canavese companies (there were five): Castellamonte, La Serra, Pertusio, Quincitava, San Carlo Canavese, then the newly registered Forno and Pont Donnas 2021, in addition to the relegated Valchiusella. The latter, after abandoning the old management team, begins with the new management.
The regional president Christian Mossino is happy: “There is satisfaction, mine and that of all the regional executive council for this result which highlights the goodness of the programs and actions implemented by the council itself and the effectiveness of the lines of action in the area of sports policy aimed at structuring the championships. Having intervened in moderation on the repechage in the various championships, monitoring the workforce and without depleting the base proved to be a strategic choice for the benefit of all the associative groups. To this – continues Mossino – is added the widespread promotion work carried out on the territory by the provincial / district delegates and by the internal structure of the Committee itself, thus allowing to overturn positively a trend that until yesterday did not allow an adequate structuring of the regional championships and provincial amateur, also penalized by reckless interventions implemented in the previous four years. The results are beginning to show. The constancy of the work carried out and having been able to wait patiently allows today to be able to look to the future with greater awareness of the value of the programs implemented ». –
