The new generation DAF XF 450 has been awarded “Green Truck 2023” by leading German trade magazines, VerkehrsRundschau and Trucker. The prestigious award rewards its transport efficiency and performance in terms of consumption.
Every year, before awarding this prize, a complete comparative test is carried out between the tractors produced by the main brands in the sector. The main focus of the comparison is on fuel consumption, i.e. CO2 emissions. In addition, AdBlue consumption and the average speed reached during the test were taken into consideration as criteria for awarding the “Green Truck 2023”.
Very low diesel consumption; this is the key to success. The new generation DAF XF truck, thanks to its 330 kW/450 hp PACCAR MX-11 engine, dominated the competition encountered during the test held in Germany by achieving extremely low diesel consumption of an average of 21.26 l/100 km, i.e. the equivalent of 675 grams of CO2 per kilometre, and an AdBlue consumption of just 1.32 l/100 km. The average speed of 80.06 kilometers per hour is also excellent.
