The singer has been spreading rumors about a new studio recording for several months. Now there is confirmation: “Hit Me Hard And Soft” will be released on May 17th.
With the release date, Eilish also put the cover artwork for her third record, the successor to “Happier Than Ever,” online. The picture shows the musician underwater, but the emergency exit doesn’t appear to be far away.
But there will be one special feature – not a single single before the first day of sale! With this strategy, the 22-year-old wants to ensure that the new album is listened to in one go. There is no tracklist or further details about the new songs yet.
However, the new production will be CO2-friendly. “In order to minimize the carbon footprint of the release and combat climate change, the physical formats released at the same time will be available in limited editions,” says a statement from their label.
