The match opens with an attempt from Cremonese by Massimo Coda: the 90 receives speed from Castagnetti and tries a low right foot which however goes beyond the post. In the 14th minute Lochoshvili stops Crociata on the restart and is booked. In the 29th minute, the second yellow card for the Grigiorossi: late intervention by Antov in midfield and a warning for the Bulgarian defender. In the 30th minute another opportunity for Cremonese: Lecco makes a mistake in the build-up phase and serves Castagnetti, who reflexively manages to serve Coda; after a thigh check, a right-footed shot arrives from inside the area, but Lecco rejects and removes the danger. In the 40th minute Zanimacchia challenges Lamanna: a curling shot from inside the area which forces the goalkeeper to respond with a great reflex. At the beginning of the second half Lecco changes by introducing Sersanti for Galli.
