Cologne, Beritasatu.com – The RB Leipzig club successfully bombarded the host goal, FC Koln (Cologne), and won 5-1 in the German League (Bundesliga) match at the RheinEnergie Stadium, Saturday (16/3/2024) early morning WIB.
Lois Openda scored twice to help Die Roten Bullen climb to fourth place in the Bundesliga standings in the race for a place in the Champions League.
Leipzig, which has collected 49 points, is two points ahead of fifth place Borussia Dortmund (47). Meanwhile, Koln is in 16th place in the relegation playoff zone with 18 points.
In this match, Leipzig player Xavi Simmons scored the first goal in the 15th minute. However, the home team equalized three minutes later through Sargis Adamyan’s header from a corner kick.
The visitors took the lead again in the 63rd minute when Simmons crossed for Openda to score. The Belgian player scored again four minutes later with a header. These two goals mean that Openda has scored 19 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
Amadou Haidara then made it 4-1 with a long-range shot in the 70th minute. Leipzig substitute Yussuf Poulsen sealed a brilliant victory eight minutes from the end of the match.
