“DINOSAURS: LAND OF THE GIANTS” REVIVES THE PREHISTORIC ERA AT TURIN PORTA NUOVA STATION

From 22 February to 30 June 2024, over 20 dinosaurs in original dimensions will animate the Sala degli Stemmi at the Turin Porta Nuova station, taking us back in time over 230 million years.

– Turin Porta Nuova station will be the stage for an unprecedented experience where history comes to life in an extraordinary way and takes us back to the age of the dinosaurs. The exposition Dinosaurs: Land of the Giantsa true cult in Italy, will in fact host over 20 incredible dinosaurs, such as the Tyrannosaurus, the Triceratops, the Velociraptor, the Dilophosaurus, the Spinosaurus and the Oviraptor, each with unique details that will surprise and enchant visitors.

From the majestic claws of the Therizinosaurus up to 1 meter long to the mysterious Badajasaurus with over twenty horns on its neck, the viewer will be transported to a fascinating and engaging prehistoric world. Dinosaurs, undisputed rulers of the Earth for over 172 million years, transformed over time to adapt to the climate and the land, going from being peaceful, long-necked herbivores to becoming the formidable T Rex. Through continental drift and land bridges, these giants have dominated every corner of the globe, leaving behind a unique assortment of enormous reptiles. The exhibition presents the specimens in original size alongside authentic fossils, footprints, sound effects and immersive videos, offering a total immersion in the prehistoric era.

Dinosaurs: Land of the Giants it is not just a journey into the past, but an opportunity to connect the present to an extraordinary era, experiencing unforgettable adventures and offering a complete overview of the history and evolution of dinosaurs, from their first appearances on Earth until their extinction, thanks also to the presence of in-depth educational noticeboards. Children will remain with their eyes open and will also have the opportunity to try their hand at being paleontologists, participate in excavations in search of fossils and learn secrets and curiosities of the giants of the past.
