[CNN Jakarta, Indonesia]Deputy Director of the Yajing Transport Bureau, Chaidir, revealed that the Director of the Yajing Transport Bureau (Kadishub) Syafrin Liputo has tested positive for Covid-19.
Zadir said in Monas, Central Jakarta on Monday (July 5) that Shafrin is currently in quarantine and may be undergoing PCR testing again. May Allah bless and hope that he will recover soon.
Zadir said that Shafrin has been in self-isolation since last week. During the period of isolation, he temporarily replaced Shafrin’s duties, because Shafrin must rest completely. Zaidier said that although Shafrin was infected with the new crown pneumonia, his condition was stable and he was still able to coordinate the work of the Transportation Bureau.
In the past three days, the number of positive cases of the new crown in Yajing continued to increase, and the number of positive cases on Sunday (July 4) reached 10,485. This is a continuous record number. Previously, Saturday (3/7) broke the record of 9,399 cases on Friday (2/7) with 9,702 cases.
Anies Baswedan, Governor of the Yakin Special Administrative Region, said that the surge in new crown cases may last for 2 to 8 weeks. He believes that this is the difficult period that Jakarta is currently facing. (Pl)
