Chelsea vs Manchester United going crazy in the continuation of the 2023/2024 Premier League. The Blues won 4-3 over the Red Devils through drama in injury time.
Playing at Stamford Bridge, London, England, Friday (5/4/2024) early morning WIB, Chelsea vs MU was fierce from the start. In the first half, four goals were even scored.
Chelsea took a 2-0 lead through a goal Conor Gallagher and penalties Cole Palmer. However, MU forced a draw thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes. The 2-2 score lasted until the break.

In the second half, MU took the lead through Garnacho’s goal. The Argentinian winger recorded a brace, while changing the score to 3-2 over Chelsea.
Until finally during injury time, drama occurred. Chelsea were able to take a 4-3 lead through two dramatic goals from Cole Palmer. The first was through a penalty in the 90+10 minute, and the second was through a hard deflected kick a minute later. The score remained for the hosts to win.
This result makes Manchester United still stuck in 6th place in the Premier League standings with 48 points. Meanwhile Chelsea rose to 10th place with 43 points.

The Course of the Match
Chelsea can quickly take the lead over MU. Conor Gallagher put the hosts ahead in the 4th minute.
Starting from Malo Gusto’s bait, the ball headed to Gallagher who was standing free in the MU penalty box area. The kick was immediately fired, sending the ball into Andre Onana’s goal. Score 1-0 for Chelsea.
Being left behind made MU try to respond. Antony made a threat in the 08th minute, but his effort was blocked by Djordje Petrovic. Alejandro Garnacho also appeared to trouble Chelsea’s back line several times. However, the Argentine winger’s efforts have not produced results.
In fact Chelsea which then adds to the advantage. The hosts got a penalty after Marc Cucurella was fouled by Antony, and then Cole Palmer was able to convert it into a goal. The score became 2-0 in the 19th minute.
Manchester United tried to play calmly after being two goals behind. Until finally, Garnacho got a goal in the 34th minute.
Starting from a mistake from Chelsea’s back line, Garnacho stole the ball and drove it into the Chelsea penalty box. Even though he was being guarded, the 19 year old player was able to put the ball into the Chelsea goal. Score 1-2.
And five minutes later, Manchester United can really make a comeback. This time it was Bruno Fernandes who broke through Chelsea’s goal, forcing the score to a 2-2 draw.
Starting from Diogo Dalot’s measured crossing, the Portuguese midfielder was able to head the ball into the Chelsea goal from a narrow angle. The score remained until the break.
In the second half, Manchester United appear more dominant Chelsea. Erik ten Hag’s men threatened since the match resumed after the break.
Chelsea also doesn’t want to continue to be pressured. The hosts also launched pressure through Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer, but MU’s back line was still able to suppress it.
After buying and selling attacks, MU was finally able to get its third goal. Garnacho who ripped Chelsea’s goal.
Starting from a quick counter-attack, Antony on the right sent a beautiful curved pass into the Chelsea penalty box. Garnacho was targeted, and his partner was able to head the ball, changing the direction of the ball into Petrovic’s goal. MU turned in a 3-2 lead.
Being left behind made Chelsea make a number of changes. Raheem Sterling and Carney Chukwuemeka were included to add punch.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team can provide several immediate opportunities. Palmer is still troubling MU’s back line with his movements.
However, Chelsea did not present any significant opportunities. Until finally, in injury time, Chelsea got a penalty after Madueke was fouled by Diogo Dalot, and it was confirmed via VAR.
Palmer became the executor, and was able to trick Andre Onana again in the 90+10 minute. It was initially thought that the score of 3-3 would end the match.
However, Chelsea haven’t given up yet. Through an intense attack in the final minutes, Palmer was able to break through Onana’s goal again with a hard kick that hit an MU player. Palmer’s hat-trick ensured Chelsea’s 4-3 victory over MU.
