This year’s Easter liturgy will be celebrated in the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity in Mostar tonight at midnight, for the first time since its demolition in 1992.

As stated by those from the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Mostar, since the beginning of the renovation, symbolic services have been held in the temple only for the glory of the temple, but the greatest symbolism is the service on Easter, because this church expects the resurrection after suffering.

“Some conditions have been created so that services can be held in the Cathedral, and precisely on the greatest and most joyous Christian holiday, Easter, we decided to be with our faithful people at the place of suffering and the place of resurrection, which is the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.” announced from the SPC Mostar.

Throughout Holy Week, liturgies are served in the Cathedral, and on Saturday night at 11:00 p.m. there is Easter Matins, and at midnight the Easter Liturgy.

“We invite the faithful to confirm with their presence once again how much we need this Cathedral and how much it needs to be renovated,” said SPC Mostar.
