Dewa United vs Madura United ended in a 2-2 draw in match week 33 Liga 1 2023/2024 which will be held at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, Thursday (25/4) afternoon. This match was postponed at the start of the second half because the field was flooded due to heavy rain.

However, after waiting twice for a period of 2×30 minutes, the match could resume.

In this match buying and selling attacks occur. In the 20th minute, Madura United received a penalty after Dewa United goalkeeper Sonny Stevens fouled Malik Risaldi in the penalty box.

However, Sonny Stevens was able to atone for his mistake by capturing the penalty shot taken by Hugo Gomez alias Jaja.

In the 31st minute, Madura United threatened Dewa United’s goal through Francisco Rivera’s shot. However, Sonny Stevens managed to block Rivera’s shot and produced a corner kick.

Madura United’s corner kick was secured by Dewa United’s defense and resulted in a counterattack. It started with Egy Maulana Vikri who sent a breakthrough pass to Ricky Kambuaya. Ricky then sent a cross to Alex Martins.

However, Alex Martins’ volley in the 32nd minute was blocked by Madura United goalkeeper Lucas Henrique Frigeri.

In the 33rd minute the match was stopped because Dewa United defender Risto Mitrevski needed treatment after his head was injured and bleeding following a collision with Madura United striker Dalberto Luan Belo.

The match was stopped for eight minutes because both players needed medical treatment. Thankfully both players were able to continue the game.

Until the first half ended the score remained unchanged at 0-0. However, before the second half of the match started, the match could not continue because the field was flooded due to heavy rain.

After waiting 1 hour, the match can be resumed. In the 56th minute Dewa United received a penalty. However, Risto Mitrevski’s execution failed to become a goal.

Then in the 63rd minute Madura United managed to take the lead through Malik Risaldi’s goal. Malik scored another goal in the 75th minute to put Madura United 2-0 up.

In the 87th minute, Egy Maulana Vikri’s goal managed to bring Dewa United to reduce the deficit to 1-2. Then in the 90+5 minute Alex Ferreira scored the equalizer for 2-2.

The match ended 2-2. This result makes the competition between Dewa United and Madura United to win tickets to qualify for the Championship Series even tighter.
